Overview & Purpose
-
The Stunt Devil is part of Oakley’s performance/sport‑eyewear line and is designed with athletes and high‑intensity use in mind.
-
It’s positioned as a version of a “shield” or wrap‑style model, similar in concept to Oakley’s Sutro line, offering broad coverage and visual protection from the elements.
Frame & Build
-
Frame material: O‑Matter™ — a lightweight, durable, injection‑molded thermoplastic used in many Oakley sport frames. It balances strength, flexibility, and impact resistance.
-
Fit type: The Stunt Devil is offered in a “narrow” fit with a high‑bridge nose fit, catering to faces that may find standard wraps too wide or slip under certain nose profiles.
-
Size: The listed model is “L (135 mm)”
-
Temple / Earsock design:
• Utilizes HyperGrip™ technology: the temples and earsocks are designed to enhance grip, even when wet, for retention.
• The temples (temple arms) take inspiration from “duck feet” — meaning the shape spreads contact area or may splay slightly to grip more surface.
• Split temple tips and high‑friction Unobtainium® webbing are used to improve stability and comfort. -
Nosepads: Made of Unobtainium® (a proprietary grippy material) that increases traction with perspiration to reduce slipping. The model also comes with 2 interchangeable nosepads to allow adjustment for fit.
Lens & Optical Technology
-
The Stunt Devil uses Prizm™ lens technology, which is Oakley’s system to enhance contrast and color tuning for specific environments. It’s available in a variety of lens options and tints. Some of the combinations listed include:
• Prizm Black & grey smoke frame.
• Prizm Ruby & matte uranium frame
• Prizm 24K & matte transparent abyss frame
• Prizm Sapphire & matte white frame
• Prizm Low Light & matte white
• Clear to Black Iridium (photochromic) & grey ink frame
• Prizm Field & matte clear frame -
The semi‑rimless shield style means the lens is continuous (or nearly continuous) across the front, with open underside or minimal frame support at lower edges. This offers an unobstructed view and better peripheral vision.
